2027: Artisan Groups Drum up Support For Tinubu, Shettima

Coalition of Nigerian Artisan Associations (CONAA) has pledged full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice President ahead of the 2027 Presidential elections.

The coalition, which drew participants from across the country, acknowledged the hardship in the country but said artisans are conscious of the fact that the current economic reforms will benefit Nigerians in the long run

Addressing the media in Lagos, the Director General of the Coalition of Artisans Associations of Nigeria (CONAA), Chief Segun Ajibulu, said the coalition would embark on a nationwide tour beginning on 24 October.

At the press conference organised on 2027 Elections: The Role of Artisans in Electoral Politics, held in Lagos, the coalition said the 2027 Elections are very crucial to Nigerians and the whole world.

“As the largest democracy in Africa and the host of the biggest single concentration of black people all over the world, with over 200 million people, the 2027 election is of significance not only to Africa but to the entire world.”

It noted that the government has also created access to loans for artisans across the country through banks and other financial institutions.

CONAA is a very large and extensive network of artisans across the country, as well as associations of mechanics, carpenters, welders, aluminium workers, iron benders, and bricklayers.

The group’s leadership said it has resolved to mobilise artisans all over the 36 states of the Federation for Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the Vice President, Kashim Shettima to emerge as the President and Vice President come 2027. CONAA has created Zonal Coordinating Units in the six geo-political zones to ensure mass mobilisation of artisans across the country.

This involves producing 10 million educational pamphlets and setting up internet radio and social media campaigns across the country. CONAA will start its nationwide tour on 15 October to educate, sensitise and mobilise artisans for President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima come 2027. CONAA said, “Our target is to secure no fewer than 15million modest votes for Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and the Vice President Shettima. We thank you for your time, and we seek your support to achieve this historic goal.”
