Ibom Air has commenced domestic flight operations from the newly commissioned International Terminal of the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, marking a major milestone in the airline’s expansion and the state’s aviation development drive.

The transition, effective from June 14, 2026, signals a significant upgrade in passenger processing and service delivery, as the airline moves into a modern facility designed to enhance operational efficiency and passenger comfort.

According to the airline, the new terminal offers expanded passenger handling capacity, improved check-in and boarding systems, enhanced security infrastructure, and a more seamless travel experience for customers.

Speaking on the development, the Chief Executive Officer of Ibom Air described the relocation as a defining moment in the airline’s growth journey and in the evolution of aviation in Akwa Ibom State.

“Today marks another defining moment in the evolution of Ibom Air and the aviation sector in Akwa Ibom State. The commencement of our domestic operations from the new International Terminal reflects our unwavering commitment to providing passengers with a seamless, safe, and world-class travel experience,” the CEO said.

He added that the facility would not only improve customer experience but also strengthen Akwa Ibom’s position as an emerging aviation hub for business, tourism, and regional connectivity.

Passengers have been advised to arrive early for their flights and take time to familiarise themselves with the new terminal layout to ensure smooth travel processing.
