Akwa Ibom State governor, Umo Eno, has said that the people of the state, irrespective of party affiliations, are united in their support for President Bola Tinubu and his Renewed Hope Agenda for the overall benefit of Nigerians.

Governor Eno made the declaration on Friday during a New Year homage to Senate President Godswill Akpabio at his residence in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

He used the occasion to reaffirm the state’s support for the Tinubu administration.

According to the governor, the visit was to traditionally wish the Senate President a happy New Year and to appreciate his leadership and the pride he has brought to Akwa Ibom State at the national level.

“We pray for more wisdom upon you to keep supporting President Tinubu because you are all tied together. We also assure you that we are holding the ground at home for you. That is one assurance you need to know,” Eno said.

He stressed that Akwa Ibom people were solidly behind both President Tinubu and Senate President Akpabio, noting that recent events underscored the unity in the state.

“Akwa Ibom is united for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Akwa Ibom is united for you, Chief Akpabio. In fact, four days ago, the youths of Akwa Ibom State held a massive rally to endorse the President, yourself and my humble self,” he said.
