The wife of Bauchi State governor, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed yesterday paid a condolence visit to the family of former deputy governor of the state, Senator Baba Tela, following the tragic death of his two children, Mustapha and Ummi, in a road accident recently.
Speaking during the visit, Hajiya Aisha described the deceased siblings as individuals of exemplary character who lived honourable lives and left behind cherished memories among their family, friends, and the wider community.
She prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive their shortcomings, envelop them in His infinite mercy, grant them Aljannatul Firdaus (eternal rest), and bless their family and the people of Bauchi State with the strength and patience to bear the painful loss.
The First Lady also prayed for Allah’s mercy upon the living, asking Him to accept their repentance, forgive their sins, and grant them a righteous end.
Hajiya Aisha apologised for not visiting the bereaved family earlier, explaining that official engagements outside Bauchi State had delayed her condolence visit.
She reiterated her heartfelt sympathy to Senator Baba Tela, members of his family, and the people of Bauchi State, describing the loss of the two siblings as a painful and irreplaceable tragedy.
Responding on behalf of the family, first daughter of Baba Tela, Hajiya Ummaliya expressed deep appreciation to the First Lady for taking the time to personally visit and sympathise with them during their moment of grief.
She said the visit had brought comfort to the family and reaffirmed that the Bauchi state government and its leadership stood with them in their difficult time.
Hajiya Ummaliya prayed that Almighty Allah would richly reward Hajiya Aisha Bala Muhammad for her compassion and continue to protect and bless her and the Governor of Bauchi State.
