The CSO urged states and federal governments not to joke with the establishment of primary health care facilities in rural communities across the states of the nation so as not to put the lives of rural dwellers in danger.
ACOMIN state coordinator, Pastor Effiong Udobong, gave the charge during the visit of the State Advocacy Team (SAT) to Woleche community, Yala LGA of Cross River State yesterday.

Udobong lauded Woleche community residents who through self-help effort erected a community health care facility worth millions of naira for themselves saying it is a step in the right direction.

The state coordinator urged other rural communities in the state to emulate Woleche community in Yala by also building primary health care facilities to meet the medical needs of their people.

“As a people we cannot fold our hands to wait for the state and federal government to build for us at all times.

“It would be fine if as a people we refused to wait for state and federal government to build for us.
“What you have done is worthy of emulation by neighbouring communities. Health they say is wealth. Without good health we are nothing. I commend you all for this stride, ” Udobong stated.
