Some of Africa’s most influential figures, including business mogul Aliko Dangote and Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy, have been set to headline the 100 Most Notable Africans Leadership and Business Summit 2025, which kicks off this week in Kigali, Rwanda.
The high-level event will unite leaders from across the continent to celebrate African excellence in business, governance, entertainment, and innovation.
Project Director (Africa), Dr Kingsley Amafibe, and his team have arrived ahead of the three-day summit, as Kigali prepares to host a landmark gathering aimed at Pan-African recognition and inspiration.
From July 4 to 6, the Kigali Marriott Hotel will host a distinguished lineup of honorees, including Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote; World Trade Organisation Director-General, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala; football star Mohamed Salah; Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy; and billionaire investor Femi Otedola.
This year’s summit goes beyond celebrating achievements—it’s a call to action for Africa’s emerging leaders to rise, take charge, and reshape the continent’s future.
“Our goal is to spotlight those shaping Africa and use their stories to fuel ambition across borders,” Amafibe said on arrival.
With delegates expected from across Africa, the summit will spark dialogue on leadership, governance, and regional integration and highlight innovation in education, health, entrepreneurship, and more.
Broadcast live on Arise TV, Rwanda TV, and other channels, the event celebrates excellence. It reminds Africa of its shared heritage and the need to invest in its greatest asset: its people.
At its heart, the summit is a tribute to legacy—honouring individual achievements and the enduring spirit of African resilience, ingenuity, and unity.
