Dillah Acelle Wins 2025 Africa’s Next Super Model In Nairobi

The 2025 edition of Africa’s Next Super Model concluded in Nairobi with a landmark victory for Chadian contestant Dillah Acelle, who emerged winner at the glamorous finale held at Broadwalk Mall on Saturday, November 22.

The 22-year-old beat 15 finalists drawn from across the continent, earning praise from judges for her poise, confidence, and commanding runway walk.

Acelle described her win as a message of possibility to young African models.

“This is not just a win for me, but for every young girl who hopes to break into the fashion world,” she said. “I hope my journey inspires them to believe that anything is possible with hard work and perseverance.”

For her victory, Acelle received a $5,000 cash prize from Studio 24’s Chris Oputa, along with fashion industry opportunities, brand collaborations, and international exposure.

The event featured media personalities Nailantei Kenga and BBC senior reporter Ata Ahli as co-hosts, while leaders in Kenya’s creative sector including Collins Okoth of the Kenya Film Commission and Mumias East MP Peter Salasya commended the competition’s contribution to the continent’s burgeoning fashion economy.

International partners also showed strong support. Cornell McBride Sr., President of McBride Research Laboratories (Design Essentials), attended the finale for the second consecutive year, signalling sustained global interest in emerging African talent. Cultural aesthetics stood at the center of the show, highlighted by Daima Mkenya Africa, founded by Zahra Balewah Moi, which showcased a vibrant fabric collection inspired by the Kenyan flag.

Kenya’s Lilian Amoni impressed judges and placed among the top six finalists. The Top 16 finalists were selected from 34 contestants representing Kenya, Chad, Congo, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Nigeria and other African countries.
