Domak Group International in partnership with the associations of Nigerian students in the tertiary institutions will in August, 2023 train over 35,000 students with requisite knowledge, training and exposure to entrepreneurial skills.
The programme which was endorsed by the veteran Nollywood Actress, Tonto Dike through the Domak Entreprenueuship Summit (DES) is aimed to provide the Nigerian students the platform to secure their future both now and after their academic life where there are expected to be exposed to strategic programs in training empowerment and mentorship.
Chairman of Domak Group International, Dr Kingsley Azonobi who briefed journalists yesterday in Abuja to herald the event noted that the training will also involve package were competitors will win a cash prize in addition to being Domak ambassadors.
He said the rationale for the programme is to help reduce youth unemployment by equipping all participants mentally, socially and economically to create for them an economic value that will secure their lives.
He said, “Nigerian student is increasingly losing its identity, the nation is also losing its true identity. But we can give life, hope, value, capacity, and identity to this neglected component of the Nigerian citizenry and state, so I stand on the verge and the ship ready to sail, and I beckon with both hands to you all my comrades and compatriots, come on board, lets sail to el-dorado”.
Also speaking, executive director of DOMAK Entrepreneurship, Dr Hillary Emoh explained that the summit seeks to address the issues bordering on self-employment and helping start-ups and small business owners.
He said, “The goal is to establish and develop the mindset of all the young people that are willing to shape their future with their hands, the summit will focus on helping young people with the ability to work easily on their own pace, scheduled, and location, the opportunities that the DOMAK summit brings is the ability to navigate through the marketing space using unique strategies”.
