A former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ahmed Mu’azu, has urged Nigerians to pray for leaders to reduce the country’s economic misfortunes and improve citizens’ living conditions.
Mu’azu, a former two-time governor of Bauchi State, spoke with journalists in Bauchi. He said occasions such as Eid-el-Kabir provide a platform for the Muslim faithful to offer special prayers for the country to emerge stronger from the current economic hardship.
He stressed the importance of gratitude to Allah for His mercies, which he believes will attract further blessings.
He said people should pray to Almighty Allah to guide Nigerian leaders and empower them with the wisdom to solve the ongoing hardships facing citizens.
The former governor of Bauchi also called on Nigerians to support their leaders in all possible ways, primarily through prayers at this critical national moment.
