The Federal Government has expressed sadness over the death of two Nigerians in separate incidents in the United Kingdom and Canada even as it condoled with the families of the deceased.

Chairman of the Nigerians in the Diaspora  Commission (NIDCOM), Dr Abike Dabiri-Erewa, gave the condolences in a statement by the commission’s Head of Media, Public Relations and Protocol Unit, Abdur-Rahman Balogun.

The NIDCOM boss, Dabiri-Erewa, described the incidents that happened in the early days of the new year as “shocking and deeply troubling.”

She extended her heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims at this difficult time.

The NiDCOM boss equally commended the swift response of the UK Metropolitan Police and the Toronto Police Service and called for thorough, transparent and timely investigations to ensure that justice is served.
