Our correspondent reports that the distribution of the Ramadan support is being conducted in phases. During the first phase, the beneficiaries from Katagum, Zaki, Gamawa and Giade received assorted food items.

The programme manager of the foundation, Mustapha Ango, explained that the initiative is targeted at 250 beneficiaries in each of the 20 local government areas, carefully selected from among vulnerable residents, persons with disabilities and other groups.

He explained that the initiative was designed to bring the much-needed relief to the less fortunate, especially during the month of Ramadan.

Some beneficiaries of the programme who spoke with LEADERSHIP Sunday expressed gratitude to the foundation. A resident of Bunnies, Auwalu Bala, said the assistance had brought joy to his family while Larai Haruna revealed that she had no rice supply in the house before the foundation’s generous donation.
