Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation has donated N600,000 to support people living with disabilities in Offa and Oyun local government areas of Kwara State.
The coordinator for Offa local government, Mr Moshood Tewogbola, said the gesture was in commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities held on Saturday December 9, 2023.
“This donation builds on our previous support of N300,000 for persons with disabilities in Offa and Oyun local governments on November 18 and another N300,000 given to them that day being a day dedicated globally to celebrate people with disabilities which summed up to N600,000. We are committed to empowering this marginalised community,” Tewogbola stated.
He added that community solidarity was vital to support organisations like JONAPWD that advocate for the rights of disabled individuals.
