A former member of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Amos Gombi, has described Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as a go-getter, who is poised to take the party to the next level in 2027.
Gombi, who represented Kanke state constituency, said no other political party in Nigeria would challenge the APC in the forthcoming general elections.
The APC stalwart stated this at the wedding reception in Eliel Centre, Jos, for the daughter of the former deputy speaker of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Ibrahim Baba-Hassan, Ummita Ibrahim Baba-Hassa and Ahmed Haliru.
He said Yilwatda’s extensive experience would contribute to repositioning the party and victory in 2027.
“A prolific academic and governorship candidate of the APC in the 2023 gubernatorial election in the state, Prof. Yilwatda was serving as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development. No doubt he will bring his vast experience to bear in ensuring that APC wins with a landslide in the 2027 general elections.”
Gombi further stressed, “Professor Yilwatda brings a wealth of administrative, technical and political experience to his new assignment, having served as former Director of Information and Communication Technology, Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, and Resident Electoral Commissioner, Benue State between 2017 and 2021, and Director-General of the Plateau State Tinubu-Shettima Campaign Organisation in the 2023 general election.”
Gombi also advised the couple to always show love and tolerate one another, stressing that they should not allow a third party to enter their marriage.
