Safe ‘n’ Fun initiative, a non governmental organization (NGO) that seeks to improve the quality of life and well-being of children has advocated clean water to the students of Knosk secondary school, Kuje.
The organization enlightened the students on the dangers surrounded by dirty water and as well distributed bottles to the students, encouraging them to drink more clean water.
Founder of the organization, Tolulope Adenijo, disclosed that the project was aimed at the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG6) which is clean water and sanitation.
She said, “We envision a Nigeria where children live a safe, happy, and fulfilled life and grow to become the best version of themselves, we are committed to reaching out to children, to promote awareness about safe practices and preventive measures that will reduce the ocurrence of unintentional injuries and promote behavioral change through fun learning activities.
“This project of ours is dedicated to the founders of this school who has helped the kids so far with free uniforms, weekdays lunch and free monthly sanitary pads to girl students with just N100-a-day tuition fee.”
The administrative manager of the school, Mrs Blessing John commended the initiative and expressed her gratitude towards the beautiful project executed on the students.
