A global real estate development company known as G-text Holdings, has called for a strengthened collaboration between the FCT Administration and the private sector in order to bridge the housing deficit in Abuja.

The group executive director Sales, of the company, Njoku Michael, who said this during the launch and physical allocation of plots at Sapphire Estate, Gwagwalada, also emphasised that the government alone cannot resolve the nation’s housing deficit.

“There is no government without the people. We appreciate the minister’s efforts, and we want more open engagement because without the private sector, the government will face challenges in housing delivery,” he said.

Micheal revealed that his company is committed to providing affordable land as well as verified property titles in order support government’s efforts to reduce housing deficit in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) through the

He stated that the company sources its land through government allocations, adding that the Sapphire Estate land is accompanied by a Certificate of Occupancy issued by the Gwagwalada Area Council.

“We get our lands from government allocation, and for this estate, the title is the C-of-O of Gwagwalada Area Council”.

“We are looking at between 800 and 1,000 buildings here. One company cannot close the housing deficit, but with government and private sector collaboration, we can make significant progress,” he said.

Michael also assured investors that G-text conducts due diligence on all land allocations to avoid future disputes or revocations.

Also speaking, Olufemi Shola, G-text Branch Manager, said the estate’s location offers strong investment potential due to its proximity to key landmarks, including the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital and various medical and educational facilities.

He described the land as flat and suitable for “buy-and-build” development, noting that the area is projected to experience significant growth over the next decade.

“We are here to show our investors the plots they paid for and to allocate them physically. This area holds high potential for appreciation over the next 10 years,” he added.
