IPA President Prof.Joseph Haddad, alongside with the PAN President Prof.Mrs.Ekanem Ekure have commissioned the expansive PAN’s new head office in Abuja .
The ceremony held recently in the Federal Capital Territory, drew key stakeholders in the health sector together, lending credence to the association’s ongoing commitment to strengthening child health services and it’s professional collaboration with other meaningful groups in Nigeria.
Also present at the event were the Executive Director of the International Paediatric Association, Dr. Naveen Thacker, and the Executive Secretary of PAN, Prof. Mrs Chika Duru, who both described the new secretariat as a major step in enhancing administrative efficiency and expanding PAN’s capacity for research, training, and advocacy.
Speaking during the ceremony, Prof. Ekure said the new office would serve as a hub for advancing child healthcare initiatives nationwide.
She added that the improved workspace would boost coordination of PAN’s programmes and partnerships.
In his follow up remarks, Prof. Haddad lPA’s helmsman commended PAN for its contributions to paediatric healthcare services in Africa, noting that the new facility reflects the association’s growth and strategic vision.
The commissioning marks a significant milestone for PAN as it prepares for upcoming national and international engagements aimed at improving the well-being of children across Nigeria.
