The Kano Emirate Council has congratulated His Highness, Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II, CON, Sarkin Kano, on his recent conferment of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law by the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
Sanusi’s doctoral thesis, titled “Codification of Islamic Family Law as an Instrument of Social Reform: A Case Study of the Emirate of Kano and Comparison with the Kingdom of Morocco,” underscores his commitment to scholarship, reform, and service to humanity.
In a statement by the Palace spokesperson, Ibrahim Idris, the Emirate described the achievement as a source of pride for Kano, Nigeria, and Africa at large, noting that it further highlights the nation’s global reputation for producing visionary leaders grounded in knowledge and wisdom.
The Council prayed for Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant Sanusi continued health, guidance, and fulfillment in his service to society.
