Kebbi Gov Orders Operation At Rehabilitated Motor Park

Kebbi State governor, Alhaji Nasir Idris, has ordered the immediate commencement of transportation activities at the newly rehabilitated motor park and three others.

The park was rehabilitated by the governor early this year, which gave it a befitting look and matched with other modern motor parks in the country

At the commencement of the operation yesterday at the Central Motor Park premises, the governor’s brother, Alhaji Idris Buro, said Idris decided to rehabilitate the park due to its deteriorating condition, especially during the rainy season, which rendered it unable to operate.

He noted that members of the NURTW and commuters have to beg the governor for the park’s rehabilitation, and he immediately awarded the contract for its reconstruction.

He urged the NURTW officials in the state to monitor all transportation operations at the new motor park.

Other parks the governor ordered to begin official operation include Sir Yahaya Motor Park, Haliru Abdu Stadium Motor Park, AP II Motor Park on Kalgo Road, and the New Old Prison in Birnin Kebbi metropolis.

The NURTW state chairman thanked the Kaura-led administration for fulfilling its promise.
