France and Morocco remain deadlocked at 0-0 at half-time in their FIFA World Cup quarter-final after a tense opening 45 minutes in Foxborough.
The biggest moment of the first half came in the 28th minute when France were awarded a penalty, only for captain Kylian Mbappé to fail to convert, allowing Morocco to stay level and maintain their disciplined defensive display.
France enjoyed much of the possession and created the better opportunities, but Morocco’s organised backline and resilience frustrated the former world champions throughout the opening period.
With a place in the semi-finals at stake, both sides will look to find the breakthrough after the interval in what remains a finely balanced contest.
