Fans of the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, Friday night, gathered for a candlelight procession at Unity Fountain in the central business district of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The candlelight procession organised under the aegis of “Mohbad Abuja Fans,” commenced at 7pm.
Clad in white T-shirts, fans and admirers played and danced to the songs of the late artiste, as part of their last respect and tribute.
Notable Nollywood stars, Tonto Dikeh, Empress Njamah and Shaheed Balogun, were in attendance.
The candlelight procession was earlier slated for 9pm, but was later adjusted to 7pm for security reasons.
A 13-man special investigation team was inaugurated by the Lagos State Police Command to probe the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s sudden death.
LEADERSHIP reports that Mohbad’s body was exhumed for autopsy, which had been completed while the result was being awaited.
