AS Roma manager, Jose Mourinho, has ruled Arsenal out of the contest for the Premier League title as he expects the defending champions Manchester City or Liverpool to taste glory this season.

The Gunners are currently topping the Premier League by a point after beating Brighton 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday with goals from Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz secured all three points for Mikel Arteta’s men which saw them leapfrog Liverpool in the league standing after the Reds were held to a 0-0 draw at Anfield.

Former Manchester United and Chelsea handler believed Manchester City have a 51 per cent chance of retaining the trophy they have won three times in a row. While also Liverpool have a 49 per cent chance of winning their first title since 2020.

“I would say Man City 51 per cent and Liverpool 49 per cent,” he said on The Obi One Podcast with John Obi Mikel.

Asked about Arsenal, Mourinho said: “Nah!” Before adding, “Rivalry apart, I would like them to win. Of course, Chelsea is not going to win. It is out of the question. Manchester United is not going to win it too. So it is between these three and out of these three I would like Arsenal to win it.”
