The National Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioner (NANTAP) has selected a new date for its 2022 annual National Convention.
The convention themed Developing Economy: Arts and its Market is scheduled to hold August 3 to 6, in Asaba, Delta State.
Initially scheduled to hold April 27 to 30, post an initial postponement last year where a national sports event hosted by the state coincided with the convention, the event was postponed once again for socio-political reasons.
“The change in dates and plans becomes inevitable also due to series of national events such as the general elections and the forthcoming national census exercise and the imminent transition exercises across the country,” said NANTAP National President, Mr Israel Eboh, adding that members should look forward to an even better engagement come August.
The delegate convention will feature various artistic engagements and professional programmes such as exhibitions, roundtables discussions, performances and awards presentations to deserving industry players.
He urged members to reach out to their chapters for detailed information regarding the rescheduled national delegates convention and registration procedures.
