Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Gombe State branch, has conferred an award of excellence on Governor, Inuwa Yahaya, for “his exceptional leadership and outstanding contributions to the development of the state”.
The association presented the award during its Law Week celebration on Thursday at the multipurpose hall of Matrix International School, Gombe.
NBA Gombe branch chairman, Barrister Benjamin Sati, commended Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s performance, particularly in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and water expansion projects.
He also lauded the governor’s commitment to sustaining and completing projects initiated by previous administrations, expressing his belief in continuity in governance.
The governor, represented by the state attorney general and commissioner for justice, Zubair Muhammad Umar, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the rule of law and support for the justice sector.
He emphasised that the state government would continue to promote a harmonious relationship with the judiciary and the legal community to protect citizens’ rights and entrench good governance.
