Northwest University, Sokoto, has commenced admission into its programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Its registrar, Alhaji Umar Mussa Garun Babba, who disclosed this in a statement, said admission had been opened to qualified candidates into the institution’s accredited courses in five faculties and the College of Health Sciences.
he said the College of Health Sciences offers programmes in Medicine (MBBS), Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Radiography, Physiotherapy, Public Health, and Environmental Health.
The Faculty of Computing and Sciences offers Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Industrial Mathematics, and Physics with Electronics.
Similarly, the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences is admitting into Business Administration, Public Administration, Sociology, Psychology, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Mass Communication, Public Relations, and Information and Media Studies.
Other programmes available under the Faculty of Education include Library and Information Science, Educational Management, Educational Technology, Special Education, Computer Science Education, and Social Studies Education, while the Faculty of Law runs LLB Law.
The registrar explained that candidates seeking admission through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) must have chosen Northwest University as their first choice and scored at least 150 marks in the examination conducted by JAMB.
“For direct entry admission, candidates must possess at least an A-level qualification with credit passes,” he added.
