Obasa Felicitates Oba Akiolu At 80

Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has felicitated with the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, on his 80th birthday, describing him as a blessing to the state.

In a statement issued by his media office, the speaker said the revered monarch had contributed immensely to the progress of the state.

Obasa said the monarch had made indelible footprints in the history of the state with the way he had constantly stood for its peace and growth.

The speaker extolled the virtues of the king as the permanent chairman of the State Council of Obas and Chiefs and appreciated him for his guidance, advice and love.

“It gives me immense joy to honour a monarch whose reign as the Oba of Lagos has been characterised by unwavering dedication and compassion for his people.

“Your wisdom and wise counseling have touched countless lives, inspiring generations to strive for excellence and embrace the values of tradition and progress.
