The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate in the forthcoming September governorship election in Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, said the late Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Benin, Most Rev. Dr Patrick Ebosele Ekpu would be remembered for his tireless effort in promoting peace, love and unity across Nigeria.

Okpebholo, while reacting to the news of the demise of the respected Catholic Bishop, said he would be missed not only by the Catholics but also among the Christian faithful.

In a condolence message signed by his Legislative Aide on Media and Communications, Godswill Inegbe, Okpebholo believes the late Emeritus Archbishop was a humble and dedicated servant of the Lord, who spent his time on earth serving humanity, especially in helping the poor and needy.

Senator Okpebholo commended the contributions of Archbishop Ekpu to the growth of the Catholic Church in Nigeria, and his tireless efforts in promoting peace, love and unity in all his engagements across the country.
