English musician and Bring Me the Horizon frontman Oli Sykes has reassured fans he is recovering after being struck in the head by a cellphone during a recent concert.

The 39-year-old singer revealed he suffered a “mild concussion” following the incident, which occurred while the band was performing at the Enterprise Centre on Monday night.

“Alright, everyone — just wanted to let you know I’m all good,” Sykes shared on his Instagram Story Tuesday. “The phone to the head definitely smarted, and I ended up with a mild concussion, but the swelling’s gone down a decent amount already.”

Video footage circulating on social media captured the moment the object flew from the crowd and struck Sykes on the left side of his head while he was performing the band’s 2015 hit song ‘Happy Song’.

Clearly frustrated, the singer paused to confront the audience, asking, “Who the f— just threw a phone at my f—ing head? You f—ing tosser.”

Additional clips showed Sykes visibly shaken after the incident, repeatedly rubbing his temple and appearing to check for blood in his hair as the performance continued.

In his update, Sykes admitted the injury affected him for the remainder of the show.

“I was struggling a bit on stage because singing was putting a lot of pressure on the wound and making things feel a bit disorienting while performing,” he explained. “So I’m sorry on my part for what may have seemed like a half-hearted performance.”
