Delta North lawmaker, Senator Ned Nwoko, has commissioned a newly completed modern mini stadium in Issele-Uku, describing it as a symbol of collective progress and youth empowerment in the senatorial district.
Sharing details of the project on his X handle on Tuesday, Senator Nwoko said the facility was designed to inspire young people, promote healthy competition, and strengthen community bonds.
“This project was conceived to inspire our youths, promote healthy competition, and strengthen community spirit,” he stated.
The new facility features a standard football pitch, a seven-a-side multi-sports arena, pavilions on both sides, and fully equipped dressing rooms, providing an enabling environment for sports and recreation.
“For me, every project is about impact — about giving our people access to facilities that uplift, empower, and unite,” the senator added. “With this stadium, we are nurturing the next generation of athletes and leaders who will make Delta North proud.”
Nwoko reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development, noting that “our journey of transformation continues, one community at a time.”
The unveiling came amid the senator’s reported feud with his actress-wife, Regina Daniels, which has drawn public attention recently.
LEADERSHIP reports that the lawmaker had sponsored a bill seeking the establishment and management of ranches across all 774 local government areas and the Federal Capital Territory to promote modern livestock farming and enhance food security nationwide.
