The deceased’s 24-year-old wife, identified as Maimuna, has reportedly gone missing following the incident, which occurred at about 11:15pm on Monday in Mai Idanu Ward.
The police spokesperson, ASP Victor Mshelizah, confirmed that the police were aware of the incident and efforts to unravel the cause of the incident has commenced.
ASP Mshelizah further disclosed that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) was heading to the area to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

“Ishaka was reportedly found with a severe genital injury following the alleged confrontation at the couple’s residence. He subsequently died in the early hours of Tuesday.
“Although preliminary accounts suggest that disagreements within the marriage may have preceded the incident, the exact circumstances that led to the fatal confrontation have yet to be established,” Mshelizah said.
Sources familiar with the incident alleged that the couple had been experiencing marital tensions over the husband’s reported interactions with young girls outside their marriage.
However, the allegations have not been independently verified, and it remains unclear whether the reported disagreement was directly connected to the incident.
LEADERSHIP Weekend learnt that Maimuna’s whereabouts remained unknown, while the police had yet to release further details about the investigation or confirm whether any arrest had been made.
The deceased, a Fulani man, was reportedly buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
The police investigation is expected to clarify the sequence of events leading to Ishaka’s death and establish the circumstances surrounding the injuries he sustained.
