Ramadan: Kebbi Governor Reduces State Working Hours

Kebbi State governor Nasir Idris has reduced the working hours for workers in the state from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 12:00 noon Friday.

The state commissioner for establishment, pension, and training, Auwal Manu Dogondaji, announced this in Birnin Kebbi on behalf of Governor Idris.

The commissioner added that the changes enable the state’s workers to attend to Islamic obligations such as tafsir and other worship.

The governor’s gesture was in the spirit of Ramadan. He noted regular work hours from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. would resume immediately after Ramadan.

Dogondaji called on Muslims in the state to offer massive prayers during Ramadan for absolute peace and stability in the state and the country.
