Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development and Nutrition Society of Nigeria yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to improve the health and educational outcomes of public primary school pupils, via the National Home Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP).
This MoU comes as one of the recommendations from the 3rd Annual Review of the National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme held on the 4th to 8th of January, 2020, where it was unanimously agreed that NHGSFP requires strong partners to facilitate an improved programme design and implementation.
The permanent secretary Dr. Nasir Sani Gwarzo in his remarks during the symbolic signing of the MoU described the efforts as another giant stride in strengthening the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation mechanism of the NHGSFP.
Gwarzo said the NSN is an unimpeachable organisation with immense capacity.
