The senator representing Kwara central senatorial district at the National Assembly, Saliu Mustapha, has approved the installation of an internet facility in the press centre of the Kwara State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ilorin.

Mustapha announced the gesture on Saturday after iftar (breaking of fast) with journalists at his residence in Ilorin, the state capital.

He said the installation of the internet facility at the NUJ Press Centre would assist journalists in filing their stories with ease and in earnest.

The senator, who is the chairman, Senate Committee on Agricultural Production and Rural Services, said the gesture is geared towards ensuring the state NUJ Secretariat is internet enabled, considering the enormity of task of journalists.

Mustapha pledged to always be of assistance to the council whenever the need arises.
