Serena Williams Withdraws From Wimbledon Doubles With Venus Over Knee Injury

Tennis icon Serena Williams has shared the heartbreaking news that she will no longer compete alongside her sister, Venus Williams, in the doubles event at Wimbledon after suffering a knee setback.
In an emotional message to fans, the 23-time Grand Slam champion revealed that despite doing everything possible to prepare for the tournament, her knee is not fit enough for competition.
“I did everything I could to be ready, but unfortunately my knee just isn’t ready to compete,” Serena wrote.

The tennis legend also posted photos showing fluid being drained from her knee following her singles match, captioning the images with a candid, “Yikes!”
The withdrawal comes as a disappointment to tennis fans around the world, many of whom had eagerly anticipated seeing the legendary Williams sisters share the court once again at Wimbledon. Their partnership has produced some of the sport’s most memorable moments, including multiple Grand Slam doubles titles and Olympic gold medals.
Despite the setback, Serena remained optimistic and grateful, thanking fans for their overwhelming support during her latest comeback.

“Thank you to the fans for your incredible support and for making this comeback so meaningful,” she wrote, before teasing, “All I can say is stay tuned to a city near you.”
While her Wimbledon journey has been cut short, Serena’s message has sparked hope among supporters that the tennis icon’s story on the court may not be over just yet.
