Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, the Soun of Ogbomosoland, has paid a royal visit to the Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, at his residence in Bodija, Ibadan.
He said the visit was more than an engagement; it was a historic encounter deeply rooted in tradition, mutual respect, and shared aspirations for the future of Ibadanland and Ogbomosoland.
In his terse remarks during the visit, Oba Olaoye said the discussion between the two paramount rulers was based on unity, progress, and the collective destiny of the Yoruba race.
He maintained that the visit was a moment of joy and fulfilment for him, reaffirming the long-standing relationship between the two ancient cities.
The monarch said Oba Rashidi Ladoja, as Olubadan of Ibadanland, would use his wealth of experience to further develop Ibadanland and Oyo State in general, considering his vast knowledge of administration and governance.
He urged Ibadan residents and indigenes to cooperate with the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, as he was confident in his ability to make the city greater.
An elated Ladoja, thanked the Soun of Ogbomosoland for the visit.
