The Vice Chancellor of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Kwara State, Prof. Noah Yusuf on Tuesday emphasised the need for a robust synergy among security agencies in the country in their task of protecting lives and property, and making the country safe.

Prof. Yusuf made the call during a one- day capacity building workshop organised by the university ‘s Centre for Peace and Security Studies in Ilorin, the state capital.

“Synergy among our security agencies, is very important in reducing insecurity in our society. As you observed here today, virtually all security agencies were present and this is very good for our country, we need more of this,” Yusuf said.

The workshop tagged: “Peace and Conflict Management Capacity Building Retreat” was initiated by Yusuf on his assumption of office as vice chancellor and was designed for post-graduate students with five different courses.
