President Bola Tinubu has approved the reconstitution of a 15-man National Stakeholders’ Working Group (NSWG) for Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI).
The NSWG has the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume as Chairman.
According to a statement by the director of information in the office of the SGF, Segun Omohiosen, the Working Group has as members the Executive Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Zacch Adedeji, as Government Representative; Group Chief Executive Officer, NNPC Ltd, Mele Kyari, as Representative of extractive companies (oil and gas); Oghenegwueke Ajafia as Member,
Oil Producers Trade Section, Lagos Chamber of Commerce (OPTS).
Others incldude President, Miners Association of Nigeria, Dele Ayanleke, as Member Representative of extractive companies (mining), and a representative of the Civil Member (To be elected by the CSOs).
He noted that the OSGF has written to the CSOs through NEITI to elect and present their representative and
the process was on.

He added that the inauguration of the Board will be announced in due course.
