President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has forwarded the names of six nominees to the Senate for screening and confirmation as members of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) board.

The President’s request was contained in a letter read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during plenary yesterday in Abuja.

In the letter, President Tinubu explained that the nominations were made in accordance with Section 10, Subsection 1 of the AMCON Establishment Act, 2019 (as amended).

The nominees include Dr. Bala Bello, who has been nominated as Chairman of the AMCON Board. Others nominated as Non-Executive Directors are Yusuf Tegina (North Central), Adeyemo Adeoye (South West), Charles Odiong Iyiore (South South), Yahaya Ibrahim (North West), and Emily Chidinma Osuji (South East).
