Tinubu Hosts Sierra Leonean Leader Maada Bio In Abuja

President Bola Tinubu has received the President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, in the State House, Abuja.

President Bio who arrived the Forecourt of the Presidential villa at 12:22pm on Monday was received by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila and escorted by bag pipers of the Presidential Guards Brigade.

The visiting President of Sierra Leone was thereafter led by Gbajabiamila to the office of President Tinubu for a closed door meeting.

Nigeria and Sierra Leone have recorded strong diplomatic relations since their respective independences in October 1960 and April 1961.

Both nations are active members of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the African Union (AU), and have collaborated on initiatives aimed at promoting peace, stability, and development in the region.
