Tinubu Seeks Senate Confirmation Of 6 Nominees As AMCON Board Members

President Bola Tinubu has forwarded the names of six nominees to the Senate for screening and confirmation as members of the Board of Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).

The President’s request was contained in a letter read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during plenary on Wednesday in Abuja.

In the letter, Tinubu explained that the nominations were made in accordance with Section 10, Subsection 1 of the AMCON Establishment Act, 2019 (as amended).

The nominees include Dr. Bala Bello, who was nominated as Chairman of the AMCON Board.

Others nominated as Non-Executive Directors include Yusuf Tegina (North-Central), Adeyemo Adeoye (South-West), Charles Odiong Iyiore (South-South), Yahaya Ibrahim (North-West), and Emily Chidinma Osuji (South-East).
