A Lagos based human rights lawyer and activist, Inibehe Effiong, has raised the alarm that the new viral phrase ‘Go To Court’ among Nigerian politicians since after the February 25 general election, was becoming popular on the social media and should be a cause for concern for men of the bar and bench.

The legal practitioner, who took to his verified social media handles on Tuesday to describe the refrain as insulting, also lamented that it was popularised by people he called ‘rogue political actors’ who believe that Nigeria’s Judiciary was weak, and that justice cannot be obtained in the courts of the land.

Effiong wrote: ““Go To Court” is trending number 1 on Nigerian Twitter.

“This insulting refrain has been popularized by rogue political actors who believe that our Judiciary is weak, and that justice is not obtainable in our courts.
