Groups and political stakeholders from Mubi North/Mubi South/ Maiha federal constituency of Adamawa State have endorsed Ramatu Sali Bello, popularly known as Gimbiyan Mubi Emirate and Sarauniyan Gude, to contest the House of Representatives seat in the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement took place at a rally in Mubi which attracted over 3,000 supporters from across the constituency, held at the Sani Bello Hall to mark the homecoming of the All Progressives Congress chieftain, coinciding with her birthday and the end-of-year charity activities.
Speaking on behalf of the leaders, Alhaji Hassan Pakka stated that the decision followed extensive consultations among various interest groups, citing Bello’s numerous interventions, including the distribution of palliatives, water projects, and farm implements to boost livelihoods.
Pakka criticised previous representatives for failing to attract meaningful development in the last six years, listing significant challenges in the area as youth unemployment, poor access to federal empowerment programmes, bad roads, inadequate potable water, weak healthcare and education facilities, and lingering security threats in border communities of Maiha and parts of Mubi.
In her response, Bello thanked the people for the overwhelming endorsement, describing it as emotional and motivating, and pledged to pursue effective representation that will attract federal projects, restore hope and improve living conditions across the constituency.
She also commended Dr Martina Yilwatda, wife of the APC National Chairman and Matron of Women Leaders Support Advancement, for partnering with Ramat Foundation to empower 100 women petty traders with ₦50,000 each.
