Former winner of the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN), Adaeze Yobo, has shared her struggles with post-partum depression.
The beauty queen, who is married to ex-Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo, said she was going through her media folder when she saw photos that took her down memory lane.
She recalled winning the MBGN title while still very young, adding that she believes she was the youngest ever to wear the crown. She was still a teenager at the time and went by the name Adaeze Igwe.
On motherhood, Adaeze, who has three children, said that after she gave birth to her first child, she was too embarrassed to admit that she gave birth through c-section, so she lied that she gave birth naturally.
In her post, she opened up that she gave birth to all three kids via c-section.
She proceeded to share her battle with post-partum depression.
According to the businesswoman, she thought she “was mentally sick” or “possessed,” only to discover later that what she was experiencing was post-partum depression.
