‎Former winner of the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN), Adaeze Yobo, has shared her struggles with post-partum depression.
‎
‎
‎The beauty queen, who is married to ex-Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo, said she was going through her media folder when she saw photos that took her down memory lane.
‎
‎She recalled winning the MBGN title while still very young, adding that she believes she was the youngest ever to wear the crown. She was still a teenager at the time and went by the name Adaeze Igwe.
‎
‎On motherhood, Adaeze, who has three children, said that after she gave birth to her first child, she was too embarrassed to admit that she gave birth through c-section, so she lied that she gave birth naturally.
‎
‎In her post, she opened up that she gave birth to all three kids via c-section.
‎
‎She proceeded to share her battle with post-partum depression.
‎
‎According to the businesswoman, she thought she “was mentally sick” or “possessed,” only to discover later that what she was experiencing was post-partum depression.
