Nigerian artiste, John Njeng-Ngeng, a.k.a Skales, has called out the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly invading his home at 4am on Tuesday morning.

The singer, who took to his X platform (formerly Twitter), alleged that some EFCC officials invaded his home with guns and hammers and broke down his door including confiscating his mobile phone and those of his guests.

Skales wrote: “So #officialEFCC pulled up to my house with 3 men with guns and some with sticks and hammers lol, they broke my back door while I was sleeping on the bed with my 6month old daughter, imagine I had a panic attack Cz of my health issues…. Is this not a crime?”

But, the spokesperson of the anti-graft agency, Dele Oyewale, has denied the allegation, saying that such claims were unfounded, adding that EFCC officials do not operate in such a manner.

He said, the incident might be an allegation, as the invaders could be impersonators of the EFCC roaming around. He further urged the singer to provide evidence of his claims.

But, reacting to the EFCC’s denial, Skales posted a video recording of some persons clad in what looks the like the trademark EFCC jacket and police uniform with some iron tools trying to break through the window of the singer’s house.

The singer wrote: “They ceased my fone after checking and they saw nothing but my neighbors recorded them beating up one of my neighbors. Even when I went outside to ask who will fix my back door they said I should go back inside.”

Narrating further, Skales shared several video clips while asserting that, “The efcc alleged that they found “things” in the phones of the two people they arrested who came to make music with me “one escorted the producer I’m working with to my house and the other is an artist im helping to shape his career. Meaning they did not find “anything” ilegal on myself and the remaining others which is my daughter, dj Spicey and my daughter and her nannies Which is why we were not arrested.”

He further alleged that he was being threatened for speaking out on the development.

“Now one of them whose name is femi called me threatening that he can rope me into something because of my outburst on social media. An outburst caused by the unprofessional manner in which they gained entry into my home at 4am , while i had my 6 month old child & her mum sleepin.

“My hate for @officialEFCC just began … why do you operate at night.. is armed robbery part of your job description because I need explanation… truth is who you wan report to Cz nothing works in this country ! They only know how to abuse power,” Skales lamented.
