Akwa Ibom State governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has assured APC loyalists that the party primaries would be transparent, free and fair.

Addressing the people of his local government area, Nsit Ubium, during a special consultation visit held at the home of the area’s political leader, Senator Effiong Bob, the governor said the state has been peaceful and must remain so during and after the exercise.

The governor appreciated Senator Bob, and the entire people of the area for their support and cooperation, and especially for speaking with one voice ahead of the primaries and the 2027 general elections.

“I consider it most expedient for me to see and notify my people officially of my intention to go for second term as Governor in the year 2027.

“As you will support me, we will also support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and other APC candidates,” he said.
