Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has assured that President Bola Tinubu’s health sector reforms are reducing medical brain drain and driving the growth of medical industrialisation in Nigeria.

Idris made the remarks on yesterday in Abuja at the fourth attestation ceremony for the 2025 MBBS graduating class of Nile University of Nigeria.

According to him, the president’s recent interventions, particularly in specialised healthcare, reflect a renewed commitment to building a modern, efficient, and self-sustaining health system.

“And we can see that with what the President has done; he launched six oncology centers across this country and also the rehabilitation of all the tertiary healthcare facilities,” Idris said.

He added that these investments are clear signs that the Nigerian healthcare system is on its way to becoming world-class, given the encouraging policies spurring medical industrialization.

The minister urged medical professionals to embrace the administration’s vision, noting that President Tinubu is working to ensure that Nigerian doctors and healthcare workers have the support and conducive environment they need to remain in the country rather than seek opportunities abroad.
He added that the continuing revitalisation of primary healthcare facilities, alongside increased funding, was further strengthening the nation’s health value chain and propelling medical industrialisation.
