Preparations have been finalised for the eighth edition of the Easter Holiday Junior Tennis Clinic and Tournament at Ikoyi Club 1938.
The annual event, sponsored by Leadway Assurance Company Limited, will commence on 7 April, with the clinic running until 19 April, while the tournament proper is scheduled for 11 April at the club’s tennis courts.
The programme is designed to nurture young talent, offering both budding and beginner players the opportunity to develop their skills and gain foundational knowledge of the sport.
Participants will compete in boys’ and girls’ categories across four age groups: 5–7, 8–10, 11–13 and 14–16.
Club officials have been working extensively to ensure a successful event, with Games Captain Segun Olajide and Tennis Section Chairman Victor Onyekpa overseeing final preparations.
According to Tennis Section Administrative Officer Gbenga Adetona, everything is in place for a memorable outing.
“We are fully prepared,” he said. “Further details will be communicated by the Games Captain and Chairman, but we are confident of delivering a successful event.”
He also commended Leadway Assurance for its continued support, describing the company as a reliable partner in youth tennis development.
