A former deputy governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere, has said if given the opportunity to serve, Imo State would be the economic hub of the southeast.
Madumere highlighted that his vision is to turn the state’s economic fortunes around.
He described himself as a bridge builder who is abreast of the people’s needs and listens to the heartbeats of the citizenry, even at the age of 61.
Madumere, who interacted with newsmen in Owerri, Lmo State, gave an insight into his ambition to govern the state in 2027.
He says, “I have a burning desire to liberate my people from poverty, deprivation, lack and want.”
The former deputy governor revealed that he had devised a blueprint tailored to the assessment of people’s needs.
Prince Madumere urged the citizenry to hang on to the big, beautiful deal, trust and believe in a future laced with policies for sustainable development, as opposed to endless hope and twist.
Prince Madumere urged Imolites to open their eyes, choose capacity, acumen, and dexterity against mediocrity, as time has come to deliver the citizenry to the promised land through ” the Journey of Grace.”
He said, “The time to change the narrative and trajectory is fast approaching, and I salute the resourcefulness, courage, and optimism of Imolites. Together, by His Grace and favour, we shall embrace and enter the promised land, laced up with milk and honey, even as I march on at 61 fruitful years of God’s Mercy, Grace, and Protection.”
