Jigawa State government has approved the release of N532.427 million for the construction of 132 classrooms at different Islamiyya schools in 30 constituencies of the state.
The state commissioner for information, Hon Sagir Musa, revealed this to newsmen when he spoke on the outcome of the State Executive Council (SEC) meeting.
He said 66 numbers of two classroom blocks will be constructed under the 2024 State Constituency projects.
The commissioner noted that the construction of Islamiyya classroom is part of the state government efforts to promote true religious teaching, inculcate moral discipline, sense of humanity and fear of God in the minds of the young generation.
He added that the availability of such schools will also help in tackling the high rate of out of school children and Almajiri syndrome in the state.
