Former governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In a letter dated March 11 and addressed to his ward chairman in Tambuwal/Shinfiri, the senator representing Sokoto South Senatorial District in the upper legislative chamber cited the party’s “persistent internal crisis” and “ongoing conflicts” as reasons for his resignation.
Tambuwal announced that he would be pitching his tent with the newly – registered African Democratic Congress (ADC).
He added that the decision “followed deep reflection” and “extensive consultations”.
